Shangri La II  We completed our competitive season at the WSA Fall Festival at Shangri La II near Phoenix. Naked Volleyball won the Men's "A" competition and placed second in the Women's competition and the Co-ed competition.
August 1, 1998 we converged at De Anza Springs on the California/Mexican border for the annual WSA Convention. Naked Volleyball captured the Men's "B" competition and placed second in the Men's "A" competition. De Anza Springs
Lupin Naturist Resort  June 13-14, 1998 took Naked Volleyball to Santa Cruz, CA for the WSA Summer Festival, where we won the Co-ed "B" tournament. The grounds of Lupin Naturist Resort, in the low coastal forest, are among the most scenic of any resort.
We made the long trip to Laguna del Sol near Sacramento California for Memorial Day Weekend, 1998. We conducted a Naked Light tournament, where 8 coed teams of 4-persons each played on 3 courts. We returned on Labor Day Weekend, when 11 teams competed! Laguna del Sol
Olive Dell  May 5, 1998 we visited the small nudist ranch called Olive Dell near San Bernadino. We had a beautiful weekend while the rest of Southern California was stormy with El Nino.
April 26 marked our 1st anniversary celebration. Glen Eden hosted the event, providing a live band, reduced gate fees, and even the chocolate cake shown here. Glen Eden Cake
De Anza Springs  This is the famous Goat Canyon Trestle, accessed by a scenic 7 mile hike down 70 year old railroad tracks; Just another reason we like visiting De Anza Springs Resort near Jacumba, CA.

In March we conducted a Naked Light tournament on the newly constructed grass courts at De Anza Springs Resort.  It was a little chilly, especially for those not playing volleyball.  De Anza Springs

Shangri La II  In February, 1998, we returned to Shangri La II for a doubles tournament on their new sand courts.  We attended their Valentine's Dance, and one of our members made this Valentines Ball to celebrate the occasion.

In January, 1998, we headed out to Desert Shadows at Palm Springs, CA to escape the wrath of El Nino.  There we found luxurious accomodations and beautiful weather.  We brought over 30 members to participate in the first Naked Light tournament.  Desert Shadows Inn

De Anza Springs  In November, 1997, we made our first visit to a brand new resort near Jacumba,r courts, so they let us play on the grass outside their spacious clubhouse.

On our way to the 1997 WSA Fall Festival we stopped for a soak in the silky waters of El Dorado Hot Spring, just west of Phoenix, AZ.  After a delicious lunch, we continued our journey to Shangri La II, where our men's team won 1st place.  El Dorado Hot Spring

San Onofre  Also during the summer of 1997, we spent many warm weekends at San Onofre State Beach, where we enjoyed the warm waters of El Nino.  Little did we know how much trouble El Nino would cause during the coming Winter.

During the Summer of 1997, we spent a lot of Sundays at McConville.  At 2600 feet elevation, McConville is often comfortable when other resorts are too hot to play volleyball, and the sun is shining when the beach is fogged in.  McConville

Glen Eden  At the 1997 WSA Summer Festival hosted by Glen Eden, Naked Volleyball's coed "B" team won 1st place.  It was our first group campout at a nudist club, and we even had a camp dinner.

On Memorial Day Weekend, 1997, we camped out on property owned by friends of Naked Volleyball, which we dubbed Bare Mountain.  We did lots of hiking in the surrounding hills, and we played volleyball on their well-mowed field.  Here we are preparing the wood-fired hot tub to soak our weary muscles.  Bare Mountain

McConville  We fielded several teams at the 1996 Fall Festival hosted by McConville.  This was the first time we really felt like a club, not just a group.  Our men's "A" team won 1st place.

The first Naked Volleyball team, shown here, competed at the 1996 AANR Convention, hosted by Laguna del Sol.  That was before the WSA Board had approved our charter.  There was controversy about the name of our club.  Laguna del Sol
